VINYL PRINTING
Heat transfer is an incredibly flexible activation which allows guests the freedom to customise their item with multiple graphics in nearly any position of a product. With heat transfer there is a diverse range of possibilities from live printed names to live printed photos to live printed graphics.
SUBLIMATION PRINTING
With sublimation live customisation goes full colour allowing the possibility to use any artwork to customise with. It also opens the door to a wider range of possible products to live customise from customisable water bottles to personalised phone cases.
EMBROIDERY
Live embroidery allows guests to make an item truly theirs with live monogramming and elevate a garment to a luxury product. Beyond monogramming we can also live embroider small simple graphics to make garments even more special.

Pinterest invited us back to bring our customisation expertise to their 2025 Cannes Lions booth. This year we combined live embroidery, heat press and stud/eyelet application to create an incredibly immersive experience where attendees could customise caps.

ADIDAS NZXT DESTINATION LIVE TRANSFER PRINTING EVENT
Adidas held their event The NZXT Destination to launch their new ZX 22 range of trainers. We provided a live heat press customisation where guests could choose from a selection of designs to have pressed onto their t-shirt.

Gymshark came to us to create a special customer experience and we delivered with this live t-shirt screen printing pop up store. Guests could make their own completely bespoke limited edition Gymshark t-shirt using a selection of exclusive designs. Thousands of people came through the doors across the 2 day event so we needed to provide 6 live screen printing stations to handle the volume.

LIVE PRINT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What products can be live printed?
At 3rd Rail we offer a variety of live print and customisation experiences which allows a huge range of products to be printed.
With Live Screen Printing we can print on natural material clothing such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, tote bags and more. Live Screen Printing can also be set up to print posters or high end art prints.
Live Heat Transfer we can print on the same natural clothing as well as synthetic material clothing such as sportware. Heat Transfer can be a great option for caps, hats, cross body bags and other small items which can’t fit on a screen printing press.
Live Embroidery is very flexible and works across a lot of different products including t-shirts, socks, bags and more. The main consideration for Live Embroidery is having access to be able to frame the product.
How much time do you need for set up?
Typically for a 3rd Rail Live Print we would arrive 2 hours prior to going live for set up. However each event is different and the account manager will confirm this with you on email.
How much space is required for a live print?
Each different live print activation that 3rd Rail offers requires a different amount of space and sometimes it varies from event to event. As a general rule though:
- Live Screen Printing requires W2.5 D3 meters
- Live Embroidery requires W1.5 D1.5 meters
- Live Heat Transfer requires W1.5 D1.5 meters
- Live Vinyl Names Requires W2 D1.5 meters

How should artwork be supplied?
Each 3rd Rail Live Print has its own requirements but for the most part we can work with most file types. Generally vectored PDFs are preferred, if a raster file it should be 300dpi and scaled to the desired print size or larger.
