Our Kickstarter Has Launched And We’ve Got Some Awesome Artist Designed Rewards!

Our Kickstarter has launched! After raising enough for rent and bills we experienced a shortfall in trying to cover refurbishment costs. With the launch fast approaching we’ve decided run a Kickstarter to raise the additional £10,000 needed to make this print dream a reality.

3rd Rail At The London Illustration Fair In Pictures

The London Illustration Fair came to a close this Sunday after hosting 69 exhibitors, dozens of workshops and showcasing the work of countless creatives. As well showing a selection of Artist Beer Visions screen prints we also used this as an opportunity to give the screen print series we released for Pick Me Up a bit more air time. It was also a great excuse to release a few more products which included festive tea towels and Christmas jumpers designed by Kristyna Baczynski, a new t-shirt and matching sticker sheet by Tony Riff and a fresh 5 colour screen print release from Hattie Stewart. All new products will be hitting the web store tomorrow (Wednesday 7th December). If you didn’t get a chance to make it down fear not! We’ve compiled this gallery of photos of the highlights across the 4 days.

Bring Your Event To Life With Live Print

It’s pretty obvious we love screen printing and we’re quite sure that a lot of people would feel the same if they had the chance to try it. In order to engage and stimulate an audience brands and event organisers are having to come up with more and more unique ways to capture their attention whether it’s cocktail tasting, a performance or free products. We’ve been providing a live print service for the past few years however have seen a significant increase in demand over the past 12 months and it’s a not surprising. Not only is it a great way to make your event unique but you’ll also be adding an interactive creative element whilst getting them kitted out branded merchandise which they’ve printed themselves and are therefore less likely to put in the charity bin after 2 weeks.

Pick Me up closed its doors last week after welcoming over 17,000 visitors. We loved meeting everyone who stopped by our space and for all those who didn’t manage to catch the show here are a couple of photos taken over the course of the exhibition.

Most of the remaining editions can now be purchased from our web store with the full range available this Friday. To shop the prints, t-shirts, sweats and tote bags please head over to www.3rdrailpresents.co.uk/shop and our Pick Me Up Q&A series will continue over on the 3rd Rail Presents blog from next week if you’d like to more info on the artists we worked with.

Make The Most Of Frieze Week (Without Going to Frieze)

Next week sees the start of possibly the most important few days in London’s art calendar. 12 years on and the visitor numbers at Frieze Art Fair have quadrupled and it is now regarded as one of the key fairs in the world. However the overly conceptual work and, let’s face it,  absolutely ridiculous prices mean that it often alienates anyone who doesn’t already own several properties around the globe and a luxury yacht. Luckily recent years have seen the emergence of smaller fairs which showcase the true breadth of the art scene across the UK and many galleries capitalise on the influx of visitors into London by staging highly anticipated exhibitions. Here are some of our favourites and the best thing is almost all are absolutely free.
