Fairs
London Original Print Fair, the Royal Academy of Arts 3rd – 6th of May
London’s longest running art fair returns to the Royal Academy of Arts this May, the London Original Print Fair hosts works from printmakers through the ages: from the early woodcuts and engravings of Albert Dürer, to the more contemporary editions by Carol Robertson. This relaxed fair provides the perfect event for print enthusiasts of all age groups, visitors will have the opportunity to buy or browse and to interact with art dealers as well as artists.
Off Print London, Turbine Hall, Tate Modern 18th – 20th May
Offprint London returns for its fourth year running at Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall, playing host to 140 independent and innovative publishers in contemporary art, photography and graphic design. During the weekend, Tate and Offprint will be holding a number of workshops and performances open to the public.
Exhibitions
T-Shirt: Cult, Culture and Subversion, Fashion and Textile Museum 9th Feb – 6th May
Explore the history, culture and subversion of the T-shirt in the 20th Century through this inspirational exhibition. The worlds most affordable and popular item of clothing. From men’s underclothes to symbol of rock and roll rebellion, through punk and politics to luxury fashion item, T-shirts broadcast who we are and who we want to be. The exhibition will feature a private collection of Vivienne Westwood t-shirts from the early days of Let it Rock, Sex, and Seditionaries, through to the designers most recent collections, Active Resistance to Propaganda and Climate Revolution.
Frida Kahlo: Making herself up, Victoria and Albert Museum 16th June – 4th November
A unique opportunity to view the personal clothing and artefacts of iconic Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. This exhibition will present an extraordinary collection of personal artefacts and clothing belonging to the iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Locked away for 50 years after her death, this collection has never before been exhibited outside Mexico.

DIY Art Market, regular dates across London and Brighton
The D.I.Y. Art Market is a celebration of London’s independent publishers, and emerging/established artists, championing original/unique items, an art market for lovers of all that is D.I.Y. and self published. Showcasing a curated selection of over 60 artists, it’s a great place to discover a new wave of publishers/artists, all exhibiting and selling an eclectic range of original items. Items for sale include, art prints, ceramics, zines & independent publications, illustration, photography, jewellery, sewn items, comics, custom tees, homemade cassettes, screen prints, records, and artist books.
Solo Craft Fair, regular dates across various South London locations
SoLo Craft Fair is a South London based organisation run by Catherine and Rebecca, originally artisan stall holders themselves. They pride themselves in running a craft market that takes time to promote their individual stall holders, musicians and workshop leaders, giving them a good platform to grow their business.
Peckham Levels Open Studios, 8th – 10th June, Levels 1-4
Peckham Levels is offering a unique opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes at its member studios. Visit the likes of Kiln Rooms, Bright Rooms, Brother Film Co, Gal-Dem and our own 3rd Rail Print Space. We invite you to join us as we host tote bag, paper and t-shirt printing drop in sessions through out the day. You will also have the chance to see what our members have been working on since we opened in January.
