Having successfully raised over £11,000 on Kickstarter we’re excited to announce that 3rd Rail Print Space, London’s biggest open access screen printing studio is finally launching on Thursday 25th January. We’ve been working around the clock in to turn the unused carpark space into a comprehensive screen printing studio. We have prepared a wide range of exciting events for the opening night to give new members and visitors a taste of what’s to come.
Live Screen Printing Sessions
Thursday 25th January will be the first opportunity for guests to experience 3rd Rail Print Space through interactive series of events. To showcase our commercial grade screen printing equipment, the six-arm carousel will be operating and can be road tested by printing tote bags designed by graphic artist Camille Walala. For those interested in textiles the six-metre fabric printing tables will be running a repeat pattern created by design studio Kangan Arora. Guests can then request to have this sewn into various textile products including cushion covers by on site seamstresses. Our master of paper editioning Jo will also be live printing ‘Limitless’ the Kickstarter-exclusive screen print designed by a London-based type artist Lucinda Ireland.
